So we've reached that time of year again. Summer break has commenced and we can take a little time off from homework, rehearsals and battling those crazy parking lots!
We have officially finished our 2013-2014 season, ending with the romantic comedy, "Sylvia"!
"Sylvia" was a great success, we brought in EMU Theatre alumni, Dennis Cockrum who plays the notorious Terry Milkovich from the hit Showtime series, "Shameless", as well as EMU Theatre alumni, Pam Cardell who is the marketing director for EMU's Theatre department! Not to mention we had two of our fabulously talented students, Sami White who played three separate characters in the show and Josie Lapczynski who played the dog, "Sylvia".
This was also a very sentimental play for our Theatre department since this was director, Ken Steven's final bow on the EMU Theatre stage before his retirement. We celebrated 41 years of the amazing work Ken Stevens has done for our
students and the CMTA Department. Though we are happy for him in his
retirement, he will be surely missed!!!
Now we wait until fall semester and our 2014-2015 season begins! EMU Theatre will host open auditions for our fall 2014 productions in early September. Auditions are open to any currently enrolled EMU student, in good academic standing, regardless of major. Questions about auditions or crew calls can be directed to Pam Cardell at pam.cardell@emich.edu
See you in the Fall!!!!!!
